MARICUNGA BELT, CHILE
Dorado is located in the Maricunga Gold and Copper Belt of northern Chile, approximately 135 km from the regional hub of Copiapo. The Maricunga Gold Belt includes deposits such as the nearby Marte-Lobo, Maricunga, La Coipa, Cerro Casale-Caspiche and Volcan. These contain a total of more than 100Moz of gold. The property comprises 13,170 Ha of recently staked exploration claims and 1,600 Ha of exploitation claims. Angold Resources’ objectives include continued drilling of the historic resource which remains open, as well as discovery of new targets.

The Maricunga belt hosts large porphyry and epithermal gold deposits of over 10 million ounces. The region has a history of gold production and currently has reserves and resources in excess of 100 million ounces*. It boasts excellent infrastructure, an experienced mining labour force in a favorable mining jurisdiction.
